Home at Last

Well it finally happened, he's arrived! Today is his one week birthday and we just can't believe its been a week already. As you all know by now the birth was quite a dramatic ordeal but he couldn't be a more perfect baby. We absolutely LOVE being parents and I think are adjusting to our new lifestyle quite well. Brian is such a wonderful baby, he sleeps so well and for the most part wakes up right on time for feedings. Afterwards he is so alert, making adorable faces and showing off those big beautiful blue eyes. The only snag we have run into is some breastfeeding difficulties which we are working hard to correct; there are so many benefits to breastfeeding so I am praying we can keep it up, as frustrating as it is at the moment.

Brian has off of work the rest of this week so we plan on spending some quality time getting to know our son and bonding before he goes back. Speaking of Brian, he is such a great dad. He adores his tiny son and is happy to help me anytime I ask, I am very grateful to have such a wonderful husband :)

The announcement was created by the wonderful Jenny Baugh (of course) who drove up from Houston yesterday to see baby Brian and take our newborn pictures. There are SO many and she is working hard to get them all ready to show which we cannot wait to see. We are so grateful to her for doing so much for us, Thanks Jenny!
