Week 17 Update

Well it's been a few weeks since I've posted and to be honest there is not much to report. Brian's been working what seem longer and longer days... I miss when he was off by lunch and before I went to work. I have been studying like a mad woman for my TEXES exam for my teaching certificate and I've realized a few things: 1. I should have paid way more attention in school 2. Just memorizing for tests probably wasn't the best idea 3. I really hate studying 4. Pregnancy + Stress = a not so nice Cory lol. Needless to say the house is getting messy and Brian is having to deal with me. Its really not that bad, but we can't wait til I take the test Thursday morning.

On a more exciting note, Friday afternoon we will be attending out first sonogram (yay!) and hopefully be finding out the sex of the baby. We are so excited to see our baby for the first time and get pictures. Speaking of ultra sounds, my brother and s.i.l. Dusty and Jamie just had theirs and they are having another boy! I'm so excited for them and 2 boys will be so fun... of course I told Brian this means that we are prolly having a girl now... Its what everyone has been saying and since I hardly eat meat and can get a little emotional from tiem to time I'm beginning to believe it. I just can't wait to finally figure it out.

Back tracking a bit...We went for a regular check up last week and got to heart a very strong heartbeat again and a few kicks in between which was way cool. I started to feel the baby moving a little week 16, but its just small sensations right now and they are few and far between but getting more frequent and Brian can't wait til they are big enough for him to feel.

Easter weekend I bought one of those prenatal heart monitors from a local resale shop and Brian has been desperately trying to capture our little Camp's heartbeat with it. He'll try every week or so for 30min to an hr. I think its the most darling thing when he thinks he hears it, he gets so excited and then disappointed when he loses it again. In all actuality its suggested for after 21 weeks so he's still got a few weeks before he gets it good. But heres a pic of him trying on Easter.



Well come back next weekend because I will absolutely be posting on my test and the ultrasound!
