8 Month Ultrasound
The past few weeks have been busy for us, full of exciting moments and long days. Brian has been working longer hours and mostly outside, I have just generally been worn out with the 3rd trimester and we had a baby shower in Austin (it went wonderfully and I will post about it once I get pictures), I had my photo shoot thanks to Jenny (check her out at http://www.jwbaugh.com/ )and Brian bought a new car.One of the most exciting moments was Monday when I had my 32 week ultrasound. Although Brian could not make it to this one, it was special because my Dad and brother Josh came up for it. They took turns in the room since only one person is allowed in at a time with me but they both got to see everything thanks to our great sonographer. She took extra effort explaining everything to my Dad and showing us different views and then did it again for Josh. They both enjoyed the experience very much I think. I did too, this ultrasound was much more informative than the last time thanks to baby Brian being awake. We were able to get him cooperate enough to get a pretty good 3D as you can see above. Its amazing how he has Brian's mouth, even Brian was surprised. He was partially hiding behind my placenta, the cloudy grey area on the right, so the sonographer tried to lighten the picture.. in doing so we lost a little of the tip of his nose so it looks like he has a dent there. On the left he's got his little arms that he is resting his head on and those chubby cheeks are from me.
Here is a profile of him as you can see, with his little hands under his chin.
The sonographer took this one for Brian, so he can be a proud papa lol. It's going to be great to pull out when he's a teenager, we even have a 3D of this shot :P You can also see that he's got long leg like his daddy and if you could see his toes you'd see those are just like daddy's too.
This is not a very good shot of the front of his face but I was surprised to see he has hair now, and lots of it it seems and a little spiky hairdo too!The doctor says he is still growing really well, already at 4.12 pounds and still gaining an ounce a day. I have one more ultrasound in 4 weeks though the doctor says I probably won't need it as growth problems occur 28 to 34 weeks and we are fine at 32.
That's all I have on that, as soon as I get photos of the shower I will post, same goes for the maternity photos.
Much Love!
His little face is SO cute! Love it!
